Telmisartan plus Amlodipine is a combination of two salts namely Telmisartan + Amlodipine. Whereas the first salt in the drug i.e.TELMISARTAN is beneficial for hypertension. Telmisartan relaxes blood vessels as it belongs to angiotensin receptor blockers. When the blood vessels are relaxed, blood starts flowing smoothly. Telmisartan is prescribed as a single salt or in combination with other drugs in the management of high blood pressure. High blood pressure is a condition that can damage the brain, kidneys, heart, and many organs. The damage to any organ can lead to heart attack, kidney failure, loss of eyesight, and many more. It is also administered to patients, especially in older age suffering from cardiovascular disease to lessen the chances of heart attack, stroke, or death. This drug comes in the category of angiotensin blocker.
