Bilastine 20 Mg + Montelukast Sodium Eq. to Montelukast 10 Mg
BILASTINE+MONTELUKAST is a combination of two drugs, namely Montelukast and Bilastine, which is the most preferred prescription drug to fight allergies and is known as an anti-allergic medicine.
The medicine is in tablet form. Bilastine acts to block the effect of histamine, a chemical that creates allergic reactions. Thus, medicine is helpful to decrease allergic symptoms like sneezing, swelling, and congestion. Histamine is produced in all tissues, but prominently in the gastrointestinal route, skin, and lungs. The second salt available in the combination is Montelukast. It blocks leukotriene. Leukotriene is a chemical produced in the lungs that is responsible for inflammation in the lungs and increasing the production of mucus. By blocking the action of leukotriene, the salt Montelukast helps to reduce symptoms of pneumonia management of symptoms associated with asthma, and helps to relieve common allergy symptoms like congestion, sneezing, and symptoms of running nose. It is also administered for exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB). Montelukast, the second salt available in the combination, does not manage all allergic conditions. This is an anti-allergic drug. This medicine is specifically used for allergies related to hay fever (allergic rhinitis). Hay fever is a condition where the eyes, nose, and throat are infected as a result of inhaling pollen emitted by some plants. The symptom develops like sneezing or running or a stuffy nose.
BILASTINE+MONTELUKAST is not to be given to children below 12 years. If you notice mood changes, causing negative feelings, thoughts of harming yourself, or violent behavior, please talk to your doctor to resolve the issues. Some gap has to be kept between medicines containing magnesium and aluminum and BILASTINE+MONTELUKAST. If both these medicines are taken without a gap, the same may reduce the absorption of BILASTINE+MONTELUKAST. It is advised to keep a 2-hour gap between these medicines. Patients suffering from kidney disease and problems with the liver may avoid this medicine. The following side effects may appear with the use of this medicine:

Administration of Doses
Asthmatic patients should be given a dose of this medicine in the evening. Patients suffering from IBS should take the dose at least two hours before exercise and for allergic rhinitis, once daily at the same time. The dose adjustment has to be carried out by your treating doctor in case you have liver or kidney disease. BILASTINE+MONTELUKAST tablets can be taken with or without food and should be swallowed whole. In other words, it should not be broken, crushed, or chewed.
Indications
