Moxifloxacin is a synthetic broad-spectrum antibacterial agent of 4th-generation fluoroquinolone. It inhibits bacterial topoisomerase II (DNA Gyrase) and topoisomerase IV (inhibition is bactericidal). Moxifloxacin kills and inhibits the spread of bacterial infections by preventing bacteria from replicating their genetic material (DNA). Prednisolone is a synthetic corticosteroid with a glucocorticoid effect. Prednisolone works by lowering the immune system's activity, which in turn decreases inflammation and swelling.
