Description

Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride IP 5mg + Montelukast Sodium 10mg + Ambroxol Hydrochloride IP 30mg Tablets 

This drug is a combination of three medicines consisting of Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride in the strength of 5 mg, Montelukast in the strength of 10 mg, and Ambroxol Hydrochloride IP in the strength of 300 mg.

The first medicine in the combination is Levocetirizine which acts as an anti-allergic medicine. It is used alone or in combination with other drugs like Paracetamol and Phenylephrine. The combination of these drugs is beneficial for skin diseases, the common cold, allergies causing congestion, running or blocked nose, sinusitis, rhinitis, sore throat, and respiratory infection causing breathing with noise, and fever. Levocetirizine is an anti-allergic compound that prevents histamine (a chemical) to ease the patient from the symptoms of runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing.  

The second salt available in the combination is Montelukast. It blocks leukotriene. Leukotriene is a chemical that is a source to create inflammation & swelling in the lungs. By blocking the action of leukotriene, the salt Montelukast helps to reduce symptoms of inflammation, mucus production, and smooth airways. Therefore, Montelukast is used for the management of symptoms associated with asthma and helps to relieve common allergy symptoms like congestion, sneezing, and symptoms of running nose. It is also administered for exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB). Montelukast, the second salt available in the combination, does not manage all allergic conditions. This is an anti-allergic drug. This medicine is specifically used for allergies related to hay fever (allergic rhinitis). Hay fever is a condition where the eyes, nose, and throat are infected as a result of inhaling pollen emitted by some plants. The symptom develops like sneezing or running or a stuffy nose.

The third salt available in the combination is Ambroxol Hydrochloride IP with a strength of 300 mg. It is prescribed in combination to treat problems related to the respiratory tract associated with asthma, pulmonary problems, and cystic fibrosis covered under viscid mucus. It loosens phlegm in the area of the nose, lungs, and windpipe to ease coughing.

Indications

CELTIC-AX: LEVOCETIRIZINE DIHYDROCHLORIDE IP 5MG + MONTELUKAST SODIUM IP 10 MG + AMBROXOL HYDROCHLORIDE IP 30 MG is indicated in the treatment of allergies like Allergic Rhinitis, Perennial allergic rhinitis, and prophylaxis in seasonal allergic rhinitis.

Administration Of Dose

The recommended dose of this medicine is once a day preferably at night time. However, your treating doctor will decide the dose and duration of treatment considering your symptoms.

Precautions

Before starting treatment with CETLOC-AX: LEVOCETIRIZINE DIHYDROCHLORIDE IP 5MG + MONTELUKAST SODIUM IP 10 MG + AMBROXOL HYDROCHLORIDE IP 30 MG, you should inform your treating doctor if you are suffering from kidney or liver problems enabling your treating doctor to administer a suitable dose of medicine for you You must also inform your treating doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
