Gabapentin + Diclofenac Diethylamine + Methyl Salicylate is a combination of various salts very effective in the management of pain due to nerve damage, painful muscles, joints, and arthritis. Gabapentin changes the message sent by the nervous system to the brain, resulting in a reduction in pain. The second salt is Diclofenac Diethylamine is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It blocks chemicals like prostaglandins and leukotriene which are chemicals that result in pain & inflammation. The third one is Methyl Salicylate which is used as Rubefacients. Rubefacients act to counter-irritation and reduce joint pain due to strains & sprains, and pain in muscles. It helps to relieve pain in musculoskeletal conditions. It is available in various forms like ointment, cream, or gel. This medicine is only for external use to be applied to affected areas.
Three different medications are combined gabapentin, diclofenac, and methyl salicylate. An antiepileptic drug is gabapentin. It modifies the calcium channel activity of the nerve cells, thus decreasing pain. Methyl salicylate and Diclofenac are both non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. They function by preventing the release of specific chemical messengers that are responsible for inflammation and pain.
This combination of medicines is used for joint pain, arthritis, Neuropathic pain due to nerve damage, and muscle pain.
