DEFORTIN-DG SYP: Deflazacort 6 mg suspension is available in a pack of HDPE 30 ML. Pediatrics prescribe the syrup. The syrup is beneficial in inflammatory disease. Deflazacort is a steroid. It is beneficial to treat various kinds of diseases and conditions such as asthma, severe allergic reactions, and arthritis. It inhibits the release of substances responsible for inflammation.HOW DOES IT WORK?
A corticosteroid drug is DEFORTIN-DG SYP: Deflazacort 6 mg suspension is a corticosteroid drug. The action of Deflazacort is similar to glucocorticoids, the body's natural anti-inflammatory hormones. INDICATIONS
DEFORTIN-DZ SYP: Deflazacort 6 mg Suspension is indicated to treat inflammation & and gives immunosuppressive effects used in treating various diseases. It rapidly and effectively Suppresses disease activity. It helps improve pulmonary functions and produces clinical improvement in the management of acute moderate asthma. It lacks unwanted side effects on mineral and carbohydrate metabolism, unlike prednisone.ADMINISTRATION OF DOSE
The recommended dose of DEFORTIN-DZ SYP: Deflazacort 6 mg Suspension is 0.9 mg/kg orally once a day. However, your treating doctor will decide the dose and duration of treatment keeping in view the severity, age, gender, and medical condition of the patient.SIDE EFFECTS
Some common side effects of Deflazacort may include increased appetite, weight gain, sleep problems, increased growth of body hair, and cold symptoms like stuffy nose, sneezing, cough, sore throat, and frequent urge of urination. Please consult your treating doctor immediately if you face any of these side effects.PRECAUTIONS
Deflazacort should not be taken if the patient is allergic to it. Children younger than two years should not be given DEFORTIN-DZ SYP: Deflazacort 6 mg Suspension. It is to be used as an oral suspension and contains ingredients that result in serious side effects in very young babies. Apprise the treating doctor if you have a history of infections, heart problems, a stroke of a blood clot, high blood pressure, kidney disease, liver disease, intestinal disorder, diabetes, low bone mineral density, and thyroid problems. Deflazacort, which is a steroid, if taken for a longer period may lead to bone loss, especially if you smoke, if you do not exercise, if you do not get enough vitamin D or calcium in your diet, or if you have a family history of osteoporosis. Taking this steroid during pregnancy may adversely affect newborn babies. Consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding.Related products
