Phenylephrine 5 mg + Dextromethorphan 10 mg + CPM 2 mg
Dextromethorphan:
Dextromethorphan is an antitussive drug. The primary use of dextromethorphan is as a cough suppressant,
for the temporary relief of cough caused by minor throat and bronchial irritation (as commonly accompanies
the common cold), as well as those resulting from inhaled irritants.
Phenylephrine:
Phenylephrine an alpha-adrenergic receptor agonist used primarily as a decongestant. It belongs class of
medications called nasal decongestants. It is used as an agent to dilate the pupil and to incr blood pressure. It
works by shrinking veins and arteries. It is marketed as a substitute pseudoephedrine. Constriction of blood
vessels in the nose, sinuses, and chest allows drainage of t areas, which helps in decreasing congestion.
Chlorphenamine maleate is a first-generation alkylamine antihistamine used in the prevention of the
symptoms of allergic conditions such as rhinitis and urticaria.
INDICATIONS
Ifcof-DX: Non-productive Cough
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
5mIthree to four times a day.
